Last Patrol Band is run by a good friend of mine. I saw an opportunity to help them with photography while also getting a free excuse and opportunity to get reps and practice. Over time they got bigger gigs, and I got the chance to follow along and keep learning and improving.

What has low light taught you?

Both the tunnel and band photography have really challenged me in low-light situations where a flash either doesn't work or is frowned upon. I have learned a lot about aperture, lens quality and capability (especially prime lenses), shutter speed limitations, and how much you can do with new AI editing tools to shoot in high ISO and fix it later.

What was different about Boot Barn Hall?

Boot Barn Hall was my first "real venue". Everything before was bars that had stages and music as a second- and afterthought. The size, the security, the "required media badge": all made this a ton of fun and insanely intimidating.
