My wife Chelsey loves to cook but hates most of the digital recipe book options she encounters. They all either fill your screen with ads, lack capabilities like tracking your pantry, don't have good recipe import options, or don't show things in a hands-free, big-text way that matters when cooking and your hands are busy.

Mac

  • ChelseyCooks on Mac, showing the sidebar, the recipe list and the Spaghetti carbonara recipe with its ingredients and five steps.
  • ChelseyCooks quick view on Mac, with the ingredient list beside five numbered steps, two with timers.
  • ChelseyCooks shopping list on Mac, with three items to buy and one lemon item in the cart.

iPad

  • ChelseyCooks on iPad in landscape, with the sidebar open beside the Spaghetti carbonara recipe.
  • ChelseyCooks quick view on iPad in landscape, with the ingredients on the left and five numbered steps on the right.
  • ChelseyCooks pantry on iPad, with items ticked by category and a What can I make panel showing Spaghetti carbonara, 3 of 5 ingredients.

iPhone

  • ChelseyCooks cook steps on iPhone in landscape, showing steps 3 to 5 of the Spaghetti carbonara recipe beside its ingredients.
  • ChelseyCooks recipes list with a search field, time filters and one recipe, Spaghetti carbonara.
  • ChelseyCooks quick view of the Spaghetti carbonara recipe, with the ingredient list and five numbered steps.
  • ChelseyCooks pantry screen asking what can I make, with a recipe and the ingredients still missing.
  • ChelseyCooks shopping list with items to buy, one item in the cart and a Send to Reminders button.
Who is it for?

For my wife, for sure.

What did you cook from before?

We had tried multiple apps, recipe cards, recipe books and binders with removable pages, and none of them checked all the boxes.

Why on-device AI?

The on-device AI builds off my graduate degree, where I focused on AI security and specifically the capability of locally hosted models. It adds privacy, reduces costs, and is better for the environment by not falling into the realm of wasting water and electricity from large AI farms.
